I make contemporary landscape paintings and videos in order to build metaphors in familiar places. I am interested in the the virtual overlay of narrative on the natural world, and work to provide places that exist with contemporaneous myth. My work grows out of the mystery of American landscape and the story it contains.
b.1979. I grew up milking cows and racing motocross bikes on a rural airport in North Dakota. I have worked, lived, and traveled around the American West studying a rugged style of Fine Art with the likes of Terry Jelsing, Timothy Murphy, John Wenger, and Chuck Forsman. I currently reside in Colorado with my family.
